Seger Architects, Inc. provides complete architectural services from programming through construction contract administration, including feasibility studies,renderings, code analysis, cost estimation and materials research.

Seger Architects, Inc. has combined experience of over 50 years in all facets of Architectural design. Of particular interest and experience is the adaptive use or additions to historic and/or significant structures for contemporary use. Through their work as Seger Architects, Inc. and within other firms as Project Managers and Project Architects many successful and award winning historic restoration and adaptive use projects have realized new importance through their adapted use. Successful restoration and adaptive use of our historic resources requires a thorough understanding of the value of historic structures to a community and the architect’s vision and discipline to see value in the re-purpose these structures for contemporary use.

We work closely with our consulting engineers to ensure a well coordinated design and construction drawing package.

Preservation Massachusetts presented Seger Architects, Inc. with the 2017 Paul & Niki Tsongas Award for historic restoration of  The Merchant - Joshua Ward House in Salem, MA.

Historic Salem, Inc. 2017 Preservation Award for historic restoration of 114 Derby Street, former Settlement House of The House of the Seven Gables.

Historic Salem, Inc. 2017 Preservation Award for the historic restoration of 7 Howard Street, Salem, MA,  former convent of St. John the Baptist.

Historic Salem, Inc. 2015 Presevation Award for historic restoration of 1886 Trolley Barn

Preservation Massachusetts awarded Seger Architects, Inc. and Salem Renewal, LLC with the 2015 Paul E. Tsongas Award for The Lynn & Boston Electric Railroad Company Car Barn.

 

Job Opportunities

Designer/Drafter

Seger Architects, Inc. is a small growing architectural firm with a focus on adaptive re-use of historical structures, restaurant and retail projects, and a variety of new and adaptive use residential work. We are looking for a motivated, experienced designer/drafter with 6-8 years of experience for our Salem, MA office. The applicant will be responsible for designing and drafting construction documents for small, mid-size and large scale projects.
Experience should include, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-Up with Revit as a plus.
